Gratefuloop Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how KPAK Marketing LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Gratefuloop, our mobile gratitude and reflection app.
1. Information we collect
Account information
We may collect your email address, password authentication information handled by our authentication provider, first name or display name, account status, timezone, and account settings.
Gratitude and reflection content
We may collect the content you choose to enter in the app, including gratitude items, mood selections, optional journal notes, reflection responses, favorite gratitude items, time capsule messages, and related dates or completion information.
Subscription and purchase information
We may receive subscription status, entitlement status, product identifiers, renewal information, trial status, purchase restoration status, and related purchase metadata from RevenueCat, Apple, and Google. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
Notification information
If you enable notifications, we may collect and process push notification tokens, notification preferences, reminder times, delivery logs, notification opens, snooze activity, and device notification status.
Device, usage, analytics, and diagnostics
We may collect app usage events, feature interactions, onboarding progress, app version, device type, operating system, crash logs, performance data, error logs, and similar diagnostic information. We use analytics and crash-reporting tools to understand how the app is used and to fix problems.
Support communications
If you contact us for support, we may collect your email address, message content, attachments you choose to send, and information needed to respond to your request.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and manage your account;
- save, sync, and display your gratitude entries, moods, notes, favorites, and time capsules;
- provide free and premium app features;
- manage subscriptions, free trials, purchase restoration, and entitlements;
- send reminders and other notifications you enable;
- generate deterministic recaps, memory letters, annual memory books, insights, and history features;
- provide customer support;
- monitor app performance, security, and reliability;
- detect misuse, fraud, abuse, and technical problems;
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, and app store requirements.
3. No live AI generation in production v1
Gratefuloop may use pre-written or pre-generated content libraries, but the production v1 app is not designed to send your personal gratitude entries, journal notes, or time capsule messages to a live AI chatbot for generation. Recaps and insights are intended to be generated through deterministic templates and calculations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help operate the app, including:
- Supabase for authentication, database, storage, backend functions, and related infrastructure;
- RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management;
- Apple App Store and Google Play for app distribution, purchases, subscriptions, and refunds;
- Expo push notification services for delivering notifications;
- PostHog or similar analytics tools for app usage analytics;
- Sentry or similar tools for crash reporting and error monitoring;
- email and support tools if you contact us.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate fraud or security issues, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.
5. Your private journal content
Gratitude entries, journal notes, moods, reflection responses, favorites, and time capsule messages can be personal. We use them to provide app features to you. We recommend that you avoid entering highly sensitive information unless you are comfortable storing it in the app.
6. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms. Some analytics, logs, backups, and security records may be retained for a limited period after account deletion where necessary.
7. Account deletion and your choices
You may request or use in-app account deletion when available. You may also contact us at support@kpakmarketing.com. Deleting the app from your device does not automatically cancel subscriptions or delete your account.
You can manage app notifications through your device settings and, where available, app settings. You can manage paid subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children’s privacy
Gratefuloop is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. International users
If you use Gratefuloop outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those places may differ from the laws where you live.
11. U.S. state and international privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing. To make a privacy request, contact us at support@kpakmarketing.com. We may need to verify your request before responding.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will try to provide notice through the app, website, app store listing, email, or another reasonable method. The updated policy will be effective when posted unless stated otherwise.
